Exacta-AI: decision support
Understand the role of AI and the limits of the available evidence.
From a complex profile to a clinical review
The company’s product materials describe a decision-support output that can organize candidate treatment combinations, biomarker-to-drug rationale, relevant literature, and a molecular tumor board briefing. They also describe reviewing potential drug interactions, overlapping toxicities, contraindications, and precautions.
These are considerations for professional assessment, not a guarantee that a proposed option is effective, safe, available, or appropriate. The treating team checks the evidence and decides whether any option is suitable.
What it does
Exacta-AI is described by Datar Cancer Genetics as a decision-support process that combines tumor profiling, clinical information, and literature-based information to organize options for professional review. It does not replace the treating clinician.
What data are described?
The existing company presentation describes genomic, transcriptomic, protein, laboratory drug-response, pharmacogenomic, and clinical information, together with published literature and case reports. These describe inputs and knowledge sources; they are not a verified description of model training data.
Training cohort composition, data provenance, validation splits, subgroup performance, model version, and update governance require a technical disclosure from the product team.
The 265-patient analysis
The company’s February 2025 announcement describes a retrospective in-silico analysis involving 265 patients. Generating candidate options in a computer-based analysis does not establish improved survival, safety, or prospective clinical benefit.

Limits to discuss
Results may depend on the available specimen, missing data, evidence quality, and the population used for validation. An independent clinical reviewer must verify the appropriateness of any interpretation. No guaranteed treatment option or outcome is promised.
